You're
going to be receiving a series
of e-mails and tips from me over
the next few weeks.
These messages may appear basic, or slow, in concept to you,
at first. But a fair warning:
They gradually start building
with as much force as a 50-foot
tidal wave.
Patience and discipline, my friend. That's why I have very
SLOWLY spaced these messages out
several days.
I want you to read EVERY message. Each is written by me and
they will
motivate you to take advantage
of the information I'll be
teaching you
on increasing your referrals.
By "information," I mean:
You will discover a new, organized, and professional way to
increase your client
referrals.
You know... a lot of so-called "experts" try to make
things complicated.
That way, you'll be forced to
buy products from them.
But if you've ever personally spoken to me, then you
know that I am quite generous. I
have a giving side. I am
truthful and direct, and I treat
others like I want to be
treated.
So my goal with this E-course to you is the OPPOSITE of what
most people do in business: To
make things simple, with real,
take away advice that you can
implement. Because it's like I
always say:
"Ideas are
one thing. But the only thing
that counts is executing and
getting results."
After all, the world is full of
drawers of proposals, outlines,
ideas, and self-help books that
no one did anything with. You
even own some yourself.
So I say again: Capital "R" as
in Results.
Period.
Now let's begin today.
I want to ask you a very powerful question---
What prevents you from talking about the subject of referrals
with your clients or with other
people? (It's okay to be honest.
It's just you and me here.)
Is it your pride, ignorance, laziness, absentmindedness,
carelessness, fear, reverence,
misgivings, worry?
What is it?
What's preventing you from creating and sticking to a formal
referral program that you follow
in your business today?
I'll bet your answers could be that you "don't know how," or that
"you need to be better
organized."
If so, I say congratulations --- you're being honest.
Having trained professionals, taught, researched, and secured
thousands of referrals myself
since 1989, frankly, I believe
there's another reason:

It's a simple, psychological
barrier that lives inside of
everyone that sabotages
their efforts. And the first
step
(actually, it's a mini-step)
is releasing this stronghold
by adopting a new mindset.
So today's lesson is:
To increase your client
referrals, you MUST have the
proper referral mindset.
In other words, you have to do
something different than what
your current referral efforts
are producing.
And since you're being honest with yourself about it, well...
essentially the rest of this

extremely powerful to you.
Let me
illustrate with a story.

By now, you may have heard
of the Seattle man who sold
his ex-
wife's wedding dress on Ebay---
by taking pictures of
himself
wearing it! He got national
television coverage,
newspaper
attention, and caused a stir
on the net. His listing got
15
million hits. (Fifteen
million!) He also sold the
dress for
five times what it was
worth, the little devil.
His secret?
"Other wedding dresses weren't selling well, so I knew I had
to
do something different," he
said.
And here's the secret to improving your own successful
marketing and referral
building today: Do something
different.
Sure, that may not be brilliant insight. But in the days
ahead, you'll start to
understand. In fact, I'll
explain it in detail in future
lessons.
Today is Part 1 of 4 messages coming your way during the next
few weeks, so let's keep it
simple for now.
I want you to take one tiny step today. (We'll accelerate in
the days ahead.)
Do the following:
Adopt the proper new mindset. Tell yourself:
"I must try different methods
"Referrals won't consistently
come to me.
"My referrals have become too
haphazard."
"I can't leave my success or
income to chance."
"Referrals acknowledge that I'm
intelligent."
"Referrals reinforce that I'm
competent."
"Sharing my work with others
means they will benefit."
"Everyone benefits when I
receive a referral."
In fact, I want you to cut this
out. Paste in onto your PC,
mirror, or dashboard...
wherever. Read and recite it
every day and watch what begins
to happen.
Go for it. You'll be amazed.
